I have had the privilege of working with individuals ranging in age from three to 81. This diverse experience enables me to support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate complex and unique relationship dynamics.
As I see it, a pile-up of “mundane childhood wounds” often leads to less functionality in adulthood. At times, these wounds at their extreme end may manifest as severe anxiety, depression, bulimia, OCD symptoms or disorder, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, infidelity, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, fibromyalgia, post-partum depression/ anxiety, immune system issues, unexplainable neurological symptoms, and so on. Through my work, supporting human beings through these challenging experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of how profoundly our childhood experiences shape us as adults.
Through babyhood and childhood, our young brains are molded by our interactions with the adults in our lives. These interactions can often result in small wounds that are usually not recognized as wounds, as they are so mundane and pervasive in our Society. These wounds (a multitude of them) then get “normalized” over time, with the individual not recognizing in depth how much has been taken away from him/her/them. Decades later, sadly, these early experiences continue to influence the present-time interactions of these adults with others and themselves. It has been immensely satisfying, and a privilege for me to support individuals walk through this pain-filled journey and befriend themselves to well-being.
About Me: Professionally, I started my “second” career in the human services field by volunteering with A.C.T.S. Bhd. in their mental health programs for refugees in collaboration with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. I later worked for five years in a non-governmental organization, Protect and Save the Children, where I counseled children and adult survivors of sexual abuse. I then moved on to work in private practice. Over the years, I’ve created and facilitated workshops for participants who wanted to better understand their children and themselves, and to learn skills to meet their and their children’s emotional needs.
Fast-forward to now: With over 21,000 hours of experience in the field, my passion and commitment to supporting human beings through those wounds (pain) are reflected through the testimonials, the workshops I facilitate, the three books I have authored, and a few more on the way.
I am also one of the founders and, at present, the president of the Trauma Therapy Association, an association committed to raising awareness about trauma therapy, with a special focus on EMDR Therapy. We focus on equipping the younger generation of therapists with comprehensive knowledge of Trauma. Additionally, we work diligently to spread awareness among the public to nurture a more trauma-informed society and promote healing on a broader scale.

In a series of little books, the first one titled “No Child Lies,” focuses on behaviors. Maybe children wish to tell us the truth, and another driving instinct within them gets these lies to pop out! I believe that by bringing awareness to these topics, we can contribute to healthier, more conscious ways of interacting with ourselves and those around us.
