My journey into counseling began with a passion for understanding and supporting others through life’s complexities. Early in my career, I witnessed how a safe, empathetic space could profoundly transform someone’s emotional well-being. This inspired me to pursue extensive education and global experience, earning three master’s degrees in Counseling, Professional Counseling, and Education. These qualifications, coupled with my work in Australia and Malaysia, uniquely equip me to support clients navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and cross-cultural adaptations.
I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse settings, including schools, private practice, and specialized care environments. As a school counselor at Wantirna College in Australia and Stella Maris International School in Malaysia, I worked closely with children, adolescents, and young adults to address emotional well-being, academic challenges, and personal growth. At Pusat Pertubuhan Destiny, a school and orphanage, I supported children in managing stress, building resilience, and developing emotional awareness. In private practice, I’ve worked with adults navigating anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges, tailoring sessions to their unique needs. My time as a part-time tutor for children on the autism spectrum has further enhanced my ability to support neurodivergent clients, fostering emotional and social development.
For me, the most important aspect of counseling is building a genuine connection and rapport with you, the client. This connection becomes the foundation for meaningful work, allowing us to explore challenges together in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. Whether it’s guiding adolescents through self-discovery, empowering adults to navigate life’s transitions, or fostering growth in children through interactive tools, I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel heard, understood, and valued.
In my personal life, my love for singing and music helps me appreciate the power of self-expression, while games and reading fuel my curiosity and creativity. Practicing self-care reminds me of the importance of balance and emotional well-being—values I strive to bring into my sessions with clients. I’ve also had the privilege of conducting workshops on emotional resilience and stress management, equipping clients with tools to thrive in their everyday lives.
