First of all, what is freedom? Freedom is the ability to act and change without restriction or constraints. To be able to make your own choices, determine your own path and live your life how you wish to.
Take MCO as an example, under the lockdown we are not allowed to leave our house or move physically. But don’t let that limit you, constrain you or bind you. Yes, you may not be able to leave your house, but that doesn’t mean you are not free. You are free mentally – the freedom that truly matters. Free to choose how you want to spend your time, free to choose where you want to devote your energy.
Freedom is tremendously important for one’s mental health. You have good mental health when you have personal freedom. True freedom is of the mind. It’s having inner peace and being content with yourself and not be bound by physical movement, lifestyle or materialistic objects. When you achieve mental freedom, no one can take that away from you.
Mental freedom gives us the opportunity to choose, grow, hope, think and dream!
