A Little Math Equation to Motivate You!

You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf!

#selfreflection #mentalhealthmatters

Everyone has been through turbulent waters. People have to deal with their problems and circumstances and sometimes they may feel like they’re drowning.

Life is unpredictable, the only way you can effectively cope is to never give up. Challenges are ever present – you cannot change that – so the best you can do is learn to embrace them.

Even when you feel, in the direst of circumstances, that you have no control of the situation, remember it is always you who is in control. Your situations change according to how you perceive and react to them. In the end its your choice how to deal with it.

For me, this quote also represents not worrying about and fighting situations that are unstoppable, instead accepting them and learning how to enjoy the ride. We can ignore and fight against the wave, but to what extent and for how long? By remaining stagnant you are only stunting your own progress and growth.

Exams have always been an overwhelming and intense period of time for me. So, what did I do to manage this? I faced the challenge head on, worked hard and embraced the situation. Overcoming this challenge has helped me grow as a person, raised my self-confidence to more willfully deal with situations outside my comfort zone and made me realise that nothing lasts forever.

Take Covid-19, it came out of nowhere, unwanted and uncalled for. No one was expecting it or knew how to deal with it. But over time, we have all learned how to adapt to the current situation and if I may say, are effectively surfing this wave!

I am rooting for you!

Never stop surfing!
