A whole year went by so quick, it feels like 2019 only began a few months ago. Once again, it’s time for new resolutions, a new haircut, that new fitness regime that you’d once again vow to follow, new financial plans, and brand new hopes and dreams for what 2020 can be.
Now before you start pondering on that list – Take a moment to reflect on the things that you did and did not achieve in the past year. Think about instances of success and the times that you did not pass muster. Did the year turn out to be the way that you hoped for? If yes, great! If no, even better! Why?
Because you survived!
Through the hardship, pain, dwindling motivation and sleepless nights. You got out of bed 365 mornings, and you made it through each day at a time. Give yourself a pat on the back for the inner battles that you relentlessly fought. Encourage yourself with every one of your accomplishments, small and great. Be it for taking care of your family, for being kind, for being there for a friend, or for sticking to your diet plan by running away from that cake. Treat yourself as you would treat your best friend. Now, let that self-love flow over to this new year as you take one day at a time, with love and kindness to all, and mainly, to yourself.
