How often do you hear the phrase “help yourself first before helping others?” While at first glance it may seem like a selfish thing to say, there is actually a rationale behind it; We are driven to put the needs of others before our own as we tend to prioritize the well-being of our loved ones.
Though it may seem like the most noble thing to do, if we do not check in with ourselves from time to time while serving the needs of others, we’ll end up feeling fatigued and risk having a burnout.
