We’ve all had dark days we’d rather not remember. Occasionally, the days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months. As we continue to push through the challenges, it can start to feel like you’re lost in a dark forest, struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Often, that’s when people start to entertain the thought of seeking professional therapy. Therapy and counselling may seem intimidating, but based on my own personal experience, it’s a place that ignites sparks of hope and change. I have had my fair share of challenges and personal struggles, in which the experience of therapy was invaluable to overcoming them. In my experience, when dealing with a persistent troubling issue, acknowledging it and seeking help is often half the battle won. I wholeheartedly believe in the intrinsic-self-actualizing ability of each individual. As your chosen counsellor, it would be my honor to journey with you, helping you to voluntarily confront your fears, overcome them, and strive towards the good that you want to achieve. In a culture when expressing negative emotions can be seen as taboo, I understand the struggles of putting on a façade in order to be accepted by others. I believe that when people are completely heard and empathized with as they are, it paradoxically brings about winds of change.
